I started reading sphere in 2005 after joining humanitarian work in earthquake 2005 in Pakistan. As I was new in this field I got lot help from sphere, it provided a whole package of learning regarding disaster management. Especially the chapter related to common standards is my favorite.
After studying sphere I believe in dignity of beneficiaries and quality and accountability of project.
I used sphere in monitoring and evaluation. In relief work regarding FI and NFI. In camps.
As trainer of sphere I conducted couple of introductory sessions for my staff and found that how important is sphere for a humanitarian worker.
