IASC Task Force on Mental Health and Psychosocial

Address:
17028 Little River Drive
Beaverdam
VA
U.S.A
23015

Telephone: 804-756-2700 ext. 2501
Fax: 804-756-2718

Information: * Co-Chair on behalf of InterAction. * Focal point on mental health and psychosocial support in emergencies—with the IASC Task Force and other global initiatives. * I have used Sphere guidelines in multiple sectors for years in my work with Christian Children’s Fund. Within CCF I have advocated consistently for the use of Sphere standards, and in various emergencies in different parts of the world, I have been part of coordination groups and training efforts to insure that Sphere standards are understood, widely available and used. I also use Sphere standards in my teaching at Columbia University since it’s crucial that the next generation of humanitarian workers be fully engaged in using the Sphere standards.
