After successful completion of series of learning workshops in Sphere Minimum Standards, RedR-IHE in partnership with CHA is pleased to announce a training of trainers workshop on Sphere Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards for Disaster Response.

Course Aims and Objectives

The aim is to increase understanding of the Sphere minimum standards and humanitarian charter for disaster response among the government and non governmental agencies working in post disaster relief and reconstruction field.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Explain how to apply the Sphere handbook as a tool for disaster response
• Describe the structure and content of the Sphere Handbook
• Explore the links between the Humanitarian Charter and Humanitarian action
• Apply the principles of adult learning to designing and running a Sphere learning event
• Use a learning needs analysis process to design a contextualised needs based Sphere learning event
• Write clear learner outcomes for Sphere learning events
• Structure and evaluate a learning event
• Demonstrate a range of facilitation techniques
