Interesting to see a question like this as it outlines that Sphere highlights a limited (but important)number of indicators to assess the quality of water in emergencies, complementing but not replacing other more detailed standards eg National standards, WHO Guidelines for Drinking Water quality. Adhering to Sphere does not mean that it exludes the use of other standards/guidelines; whilst Sphere standards can be seen as universal, indicators must reflect the context in which you are working
