The Sphere Project is glad to announce that it is in the process of signing an Project Agreement (PA) with RedR India, Technology-Assisted Lifelong Learning (TALL) and Forced Migration Online (FMO) at the University of Oxford, UK to develop an E-Learning tool for the Sphere Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response.

A new version of the Sphere 2004 Handbook translation in Dari is now available. The translation was facilitated by the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (ACBAR), Afghanistan.

The Sphere Project is glad to announce that a Sphere 2004 handbook in Urdu is now available in hard and soft copies.

Promotional Posters developed by World Vision covering the Sphere Humanitarian Charter and different Minimum Standards in Disaster response that can be used for Training and Promotion of Sphere are now available for Download. Posters exist in three languages: English, French and Spanish.

A first meeting of the Sphere handbook Translation Steering Committee was held in CARE Garowe office on 28 December 2006.
