Volunteers from the Mexican chapter of Disaster Resource Network complete training on Sphere PDF Imprimir
11.07.2008
The volunteers from the Mexican chapter of Disaster Resource Network completed their Sphere training through a three day long workshop session that took place from the 2nd to the 4th of July 2008. Conducted by Juan Sáenz (ToT), the 36 architects and engineers were deeply committed and motivated to understand the Humanitarian Charter and the Minimum Standards.

The volunteers in the Emergency Engineering & Construction Teams (EECT) come from four important construction companies involved in this Humanitarian Relief Initiative from the World Economic Forum. SPHERE is now considered an essential part of DRN's programme along with First Responder and Emergency Engineering training. Since disasters normally occur in Mexico in the second half of the year, the training was given just in time to keep the volunteers motivated and ready to help.

The training session was amazing. Our volunteers feel more confident and comfortable with the knowledge of SPHERE.
Feel free to see the photo album of the training session:
