In light of the closure of the Sphere Project in its current form at the end of 2004, a world-wide consultation process has been launched with the aim of gathering information and opinions from as many stakeholders as possible, which will inform decisions about the project’s future. A variety of methods will be used to collect this information, including:
- Interagency meetings, mainly at a national level
- Community-based consultations, where agencies have shared Sphere with the communities with which they work
- Semi-structured interviews
- Internet and web-based discussions, in collaboration with Aid Workers Network
