The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is offering the Sphere Handbook in Action e-learning course to their own and their worldwide partners' staff at the agency's learning platform.

UNHCR logoThe office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) works to safeguard the rights and well being of refugees. It has some 7,600 staff members working in more than 125 countries. About 85 percent of them are based out in the field.

UNHCR staff as well as staff of its over 900 partner organizations can now take the Sphere course at "Learn & Connect", the agency's e-learning platform. The course is available in four languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

To find out whether your organization is a UNHCR partner, please check the UNHCR Partner Directory.

The Sphere e-learning course aims to increase the understanding and effective use of the Sphere Handbook, Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response. An ambitious training program on Sphere principles and standards, the course allows humanitarian workers to learn at their own pace in an autonomous manner.

In addition to the UNHCR e-learning platform, the course is also available on other platforms; learn more at SphereProject.org/e-learning
